High School Musical Goes Live

The hugely successful Disney TV Movie - High School Musical - has been turned into a live stage show. The world premiere performance took place this summer at Stagedoor Manor in Loch Sheldrake, New York.  Playing the character of Gabriella Montez in the first ever staging of the show, Andrea says, "Obviously you can do a lot more with film, but the show is more about stripping away the fancy stuff from the film and making it a little more real on stage", adding, "I think my Gabriella is somewhat different than Vanessa Anne Hudgens'. Everybody who plays the role on stage is going to have a different take on it."
